I've already had my Canon EOS 600D for over two years now, and like last year I thought I could choose some of my favorite pictures of the year. During the year I've bought one new lens: Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM. I'll do other post about my time in Spain because I've so many pictures from there.
Last June I was trying the photograph waterdrops for the first time. I still think I haven't managed to take the perfect one but being the first time I was quite happy with the result.

In June 2014 I was also reading my book of Canon and came up with the idea of photographing with a magnifying glass. I was so excited of this but unfortunately I don't have a magnifying glass at the moment.

So I photographed quite a lot with the magnifying glass last summer. I photographed flowers...

... and more flowers...

... and a spider. I hate spiders!

I also photographed oats and wheat as every year.

In August I had two weeks of vacation after my summer job and before starting to study Spanish in Hartola so I spent two days at a summer cottage with my mother and grandmother. It was quite hard to choose only one of the pictures I took there because of the beauty of Finnish nature.
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, 18mm, f/6.3, 1/200s, ISO-200
During the months of August, September, October, November and December I lived in Hartola (between Lahti and Jyväskylä) and studied Spanish at Itä-Hämeen Opisto. The nature around the place was very beautiful and I'll probably have to visit Hartola again some summer.

I just love, love, love this picture because Maisa is looking straight to the camera! Unfortunately she has been missing since last October and I don't think she will come back :(Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, 48mm, f/5.6, 1/50s, ISO-3200
UNA GATA NEGRA
In August and September 2014 I photographed quite a lot in Hartola and one night during the sunset the sky looked like it was on fire.

THE SKY'S ON FIREIn Hartola I also tried to photograph the water with longer exposure.

On September I also bought the new lens: Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM and of course photographed a lot with it. This was one of the first pictures I took with my new lens (the pictures aren't in an exact order...).

FIRST PICTURES WITH CANON EF 70-300MM F74-5.6 IS USMI also managed to take pictures of a beautiful sunset. This is one of my favorite pictures of the year!

CUANDO LORENZO SE ACUESTA, SE LEVANTA CATALINA
Also this is one of my favorite pictures of the year, or actually of all of the pictures I've ever taken. I took it at Teijo Talot Historic Rally on the 11th of October last year.
Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM, 300mm, f/5.6, 1/250s, ISO-400
This one I took when it snowed a lot at the beginning of December. It was also a little bit foggy so the whole picture is quite white.Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, 23mm, f/3.5, 1/125s, ISO-100
HAPPINES IS FIRST TRACKS ON FRESH SNOW
This is one of the last pictures I took last year. I really enjoy photographing the moon and I'll probably have to buy an extender at some point to get a little bit closer.
Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM, 300mm, f/16, 1/100s, ISO-400
During the last days of December it was very beautiful here in Finland: a lot of snow and -15 degrees celsius. Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, 18mm, f/3.5, 1/100s, ISO-100
WINTER FAIRYTALE
I also tried to photograph the fireworks on new year's eve for the second time without a stand. I still didn't have that much success but I was happier with the result than the year before. Now I've finally found a stand I want to buy and maybe next winter I'll be able to get more better pictures of fireworks.
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, 18mm, f/5, 1/2s, ISO-800 (the moon picture same as above)
I spent January and February studying in Málaga and after coming back I got to witness two amazing phenomena during one week. So quite a great start for the year! First I saw the aurora borealis for the first time in my life but unfortonately due to the fact that I don't have the stand (yeah, I'm a bit stupid for not having bought it yet, I know) I hadn't that much success with this either.Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6, 18mm, f/4.5, 10s, ISO-800
THE SKY'S NOT THE LIMIT, YOUR MIND IS
(Aurora Borealis)
The other one was the solar eclipse of the 20th of March. This was also the first time I photographed a solar eclipse and I must say I was very satisfied with the result. I tried to take a couple of pictures every two minutes or so. This is my favorite one of the pictures, but you can see the eclipse phase by phase and my camera setup by clicking the link below.

On May I tried to take pictures of a flying bumble-bee (also this one was the first time I tried to do this, haha).
