HELSINKI 26.5.-28.5.2014
I had two entrance exams at the University of Helsinki at the beginning of this week. On Monday I had an exam in English and on Wednesday in Swedish so we decided to stay in Helsinki for two nights with my friend. On Tuesday we just wondered around and did some shopping although I only bought one shirt. On Tuesday night we also went to watch Transcendence which was a great movie! Oh, and on Monday night we visited Magnum in Helsinki-ice-cream bar where you could choose three toppings to your ice cream. I choosed dried strawberries, dark chocolate and little marshmallows.
I didn't have my camera with me, so all pictures were taken with my smartphone, Nokia Lumia 610.

MY FAVORITE PICTURES OF THE YEAR
I've had my Canon EOS 600D for a year now (actually a year and three days), so I thought it would be a nice idea to list some of my favorite pictures of the year. So here we go!
Canon EF-S f/3.5-5.6 IS, f/8, 1/200s, ISO-100.
Spring has arrived
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, f/5.6, 1/125s, ISO-100.
Spring has arrived
This was one of the first pictures I took with my new camera.
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, f/5.6, 1/125s, ISO-200.
I'm in love...
I like the way our cat looks so soft in this picture.
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, f/5.6, 1/200s, ISO-800.
Time spent with cats is never wasted
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, f/5.6, 1/60s, ISO-200.
Strawberries, blueberries and flowers
I had to narrow down this one a bit. I like the way the parent swans are guarding while the younger ones are sleeping.
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, f/8, 1/1600s, ISO-800.
Summer 2013
Our homeroom teacher (?) gave sunflowers to all of us last year when we finished high school.
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6, f/5, 1/125s, ISO-200.
Summer 2013
This little one stood on our stairs for some reason for a while and didn't even care when I walked past him/her. But when our cat came and my dad tried to lift the bird to get it safe, it flew to a nearby tree.
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6, f/5.6, 1/80s, ISO-500
Bird
This was the day my dad (and I and my brother) threshed the wheat and the sun was setting.
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6, f/9, 1/100s, ISO-100
Wheat
My graduation hat.
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, f/7.1, 1/160s, ISO-100

Summer 2013
One morning in September 2013 my mom came to wake me up and told me there is a spiderweb with these little drops in it. First I didn't even see the spiderweb in this picture but I saw a smaller one my mom hadn't seen. This was quite hard to photograph at first cause I didn't see properly where the spiderweb was and if it was in the picture or not.
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, f/20, 1/100s, ISO-100
Spiderweb
Also this one had to bee modified a bit in order to get the snowflakes more visible.
Canon EF-S 18-55mm, f/3.5-5.6 IS, f/14, 1/1000s, ISO-400
Winter wonderland (Finland 2014)
I just love love this picture. Mostly because of the position of the leafs and because of the colors in the background.
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, f/4.5, 1/320s, ISO-100
Spring has arrived
Also this one is one of my favorites. Although it isn't focused on anything, I think that it shows how beautiful winter can be. I also think that the imperfection of not being focused on anything makes this even better and the row of mailboxes brings a bit color to the whiteness.

MY BROTHERS CAR
Or should I say ex-car cause he just sold it.
And also, I'm sorry for posting only old pictures, but I don't really have time to modify the new ones because I have been working even as much as 12 hours a day this week.
